Ingredients
  1. 250 grams chicken boneless chunks
  2. 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  3. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon all spice powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  7. 3 tablespoons yogurt
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 3 tablespoons oil
  10. SHAWARMA PICKLES
  11. 1/2 cup beetroot shreds
  12. 1/2 cup cucumber shreds
  13. 1/2 cup green peppers thin sticks
  14. 3/4 cup white vinegar
  15. 3/4 cup water
  16. 1 tablespoon salt
  17. 1 tablespoon sugar
  18. FOR QUICK GARLIC SAUCE
  19. 1/2 cup boiled chickpeas
  20. 1/4 cup olive oil
  21. 1/4 cup cream
  22. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  23. 1-1/2 tablespoons boiled and minced garlic
  24. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  25. Salt to taste
  26. 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  27. 1/2 teaspoon chicken powder
  28. TO ASSEMBLE
  29. 10-12 bread slices
  30. A round cookie cutter
Instructions
  1. Using a cookie cutter cut out rounds from the bread.
  2. To prepare chicken. Heat oil in a pan and add chicken chunks and fry till it changes colour. Add in garlic and sauté. Next add in red chilli powder, black pepper, cumin, all spice powder, yogurt and salt. Stir fry at high flame for 5 minutes. You can prepare this in big batches and freeze in packets for later use.
  3. For pickle stir together vinegar, water, salt and sugar. Pour this mixture in separate bowls containing beetroot, cucumber and peppers. Use immediately or place each in air tight jars and store for later use.
  4. For the sauce blend together oil, chickpeas, cream, mayonnaise, garlic, garlic powder, salt, pepper and chicken powder together. This as well can be stored in a clean jar in the fridge for upto a week.
  5. To assemble apply some sauce on each bread round. Make a bed of pickled vegetables and place chicken on top
