Recently a famous Burmese dish has been really trending in Pakistan and we enjoy it our own way all jazzed up with heat and spices. Let’s do the famous Burmese khowsuey our own way, something  your folks would enjoy and really love. 

I have made this recipe with chicken you can use minced beef as well

Ingredients
  1. 1 large packet noodles Or spaghetti boiled with a little oil and strained
  2. FOR CURRY
  3. 2 cans coconut milk
  4. 2 sachets coconut cream powder
  5. 5 tablespoons yogurt
  6. 5 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
  7. 2 litres water
  8. 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  9. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  11. 2 teaspoons chicken powder
  12. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  13. Salt to taste
  14. FOR MEAT CURRY
  15. 500 grams chicken or beef coarsely minced
  16. 1/2 cup oil
  17. 3 large onions finely chopped
  18. 1-1/2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  19. 1-1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder
  20. 1 tablespoon red chilli flakes
  21. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  22. Salt to taste
  23. 1 teaspoon chicken powder
  24. 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  25. 2 teaspoons roasted ground cumin
  26. 1-1/2 tablespoons chilli garlic sauce
  27. 3 tomatoes finely chopped
  28. TOPPINGS
  29. Chopped spring onion
  30. Chopped coriander
  31. Chopped green chilli
  32. Fried onion
  33. Fired garlic
  34. Boiled eggs sliced
  35. Chaat masala
  36. Lemon slices
  37. Chilli chips
  38. Fried wonton wrappers
Instructions
  1. Start by boiling noodles. Add oil in it and then strain them and keep aside.
  2. In a large pot all ingredients for curry and mix well using a wide whisk so no lumps are formed.
  3. Keep the pot on medium high flame and cook till it begins to boil. Reduce flame to medium and continue to cook for 40 minutes till curry thickens slightly.
  4. In another wok heat oil and add chopped onion once it turns light golden add the minced chicken. Cook on highest flame so all the water from chicken evaporates. Now add in ginger garlic paste and all the rest of the spices. Sauté well and add tomorrow towards the end. Stir fry really well till oil separate and begins to surface.
  5. To assemble arrange boiled noodles in serving dish. Fill with curry and then add Cooked chicken. Add optional toppings as desired.
  6. Serve hot.
