Amid your whirlwind routine and all the chaos when you do not have enough time to prepare something elaborate to satisfy your cravings, some time saving quick dessert recipes are always a saviour. 

So a couple of weeks ago I tried these simple quick yet exotic desserts and they turned out just too delish to resist. 

These are ideas which you can use to create your own desserts with various other flavours fruits and other add ons. 

Strawberry Delight

Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup yogurt
  2. 1/2 cup condensed milk
  3. 4 tablespoons strawberry hello crystals
  4. A drop red gel colour
  5. 1-1/2 cups whipped cream
TO ADD LAYERS
  1. 1 loaf pound cake cut into cubes
  2. 1/2 cup milk to soak cake cubes
  3. Mixed fruits (I used canned fruits with strawberries and bananas)
TO GARNISH
  1. Sprinjles
  2. Strawberry
Notes
  1. In a mixing bowl add yogurt, condensed milk, jello crystals, gel good colour and whipped cream. Beat with an electric heater at low speed till all mixed well. Fill the mousse in a piping bag so it is easy to layer the dessert in shot glasses.
  2. Start assembling the dessert in shot glasses. Add pound cake cubes to the glass and splash milk over it to soak the cubes.
  3. Pipe out a layer of strawberry mousse over cake. Add a layer of fruits over it. Repeat with a layer of mousse and top off with a dollop of whipped cream.
  4. Garnish with sprinkles and a strawberry wedge.

Kitkat Sundae

Ingredients
  1. 200 grams dark chocolate, chopped
  2. 200 ml cream, tetra pack
  3. 500 litres vanilla ice cream
  4. 1/2 cup chopped Kitkat fingers
  5. M&Ms as required
Notes
  1. Melt together dark chocolate and cream in microwave in short busts of 20-40 minutes.
  2. Add a layer of this prepared ganache to a serving glass. Then add a layer of chopped Kitkat fingers.
  3. Scoop out ice cream on top of Kitkat layer. Repeat with some more ganache and chopped Kitkat.
  4. Finish off with M&Ms and Kitkat.
