A mouthwatering tangy creamy and flavourful butter chicken recipe that happens to be the best one you could ever have. It’s a must try recipe and  is certainly way better than the ones we get at restaurants.

Ingredients
  1. CHICKEN MARINATION
  2. 1 kg boneless chicken cut into 2 inch cubes
  3. 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  4. 4 tablespoons yogurt
  5. 1/2 teaspoons turmeric
  6. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  8. 1 teaspoon roasted ground cumin
  9. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  11. 1/2 teaspoon chicken powder
  12. 3-4 tablespoons
  13. GRAVY
  14. 1/4 cup oil
  15. 4 medium sized or 2-1/2 large onion roughly sliced
  16. 1-1/2 tablespoons ginger grated
  17. 1–1/2 tablespoons garlic grated
  18. 1 teaspoon heaped paprika
  19. 5-6 medium sized or 4 large sized tomatoes roughly chopped
  20. 75 grams butter salted
  21. 1 teaspoon heaped chicken powder
  22. 1 teaspoon heaped roasted ground coriander
  23. 1-1/2 teaspoons roasted ground cumin
  24. 1 teaspoon heaped garam masala
  25. 1 tablespoon heaped red chilli powder
  26. Salt to taste
  27. 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  28. 1 teaspoon red food colour
  29. 1-1/2 tablespoons tomato purée canned
  30. 1 tablespoon sugar
  31. 1 tablespoon kasori methi crushed in palms.
  32. 4 tablespoons fresh cream
  33. Chopped coriander to sprinkle on top
Instructions
  1. Apply marination ingredients on chicken pieces and spread them on a greased baking tray.
  2. Place it in the oven for 15 minutes till nice and golden.
  3. Now heat some oil in a pan and sauté chopped ginger and garlic. Add paprika and then add sliced onions and tomatoes. Stir fry at high flame for two minutes then cover the pan and let cook on medium low flame for 10 minutes till the onions and tomatoes get soft and mushy. Now transfer the contents of the pan to a blender and make a smooth paste.
  4. In the pan now heat butter with some oil and pour the prepared paste in it. Start stir frying it on high flame and add all the spices and remaining ingredients to it while constantly stir frying. Finally add in the baked chicken pieces. Add in cream and kasori methi. Cover and let simmer on low flame for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve with some drizzle of cream and blobs of butter.
